Senior Accountant

Location: Bradford (Office Based)
Package: Circa £29,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday
Working Pattern: Predominantly office based, Monday-Friday, with some flexibility where required

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Bradford for a Senior Accountant to join their close-knit team.

About the Role

Established since the late 1980s, the firm currently has a team of around eight staff and provides a broad range of accountancy and tax services to a diverse client base. Their clients range from manufacturers and retailers to fuel stations, contractors, and property businesses, with their largest client currently generating a turnover of around £19 million.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to take the next step in their career, manage their own workload, and gain further exposure to a varied portfolio of clients.

Job Overview

  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
  • Prepare accounts for a range of business types and clients.
  • Complete a variety of accountancy and tax assignments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Attend client meetings and travel to client sites when required.
  • Take ownership of your own workload and ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
  • Work closely with the wider team to deliver a high-quality service to clients.
  • Gain exposure to a broad range of clients, including manufacturers, retailers, contractors, fuel stations, and property businesses.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
  • Strong general accounts experience.
  • Comfortable managing your own workload and working independently.
  • Good client-facing and communication skills.
  • Experience across a varied client portfolio would be advantageous.
  • Tax experience or exposure to tax assignments would be beneficial.
  • Must be comfortable travelling to client sites when required.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous.
