This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Tax Senior Associate based in United Kingdom.

Reporting to senior financial leadership, you will help build scalable tax processes that support worldwide business growth while ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, offering the opportunity to influence tax governance, reporting, automation, and cross-border initiatives. Working closely with finance, legal, business operations, and external advisors, you will navigate evolving international tax regulations and contribute to modernizing tax processes through technology. Accountabilities

  • Manage and coordinate the preparation, review, and timely filing of corporate income tax, VAT, and other statutory tax returns across multiple international entities.
  • Partner with external advisors to develop transfer pricing documentation, support tax planning initiatives, and oversee their successful implementation.
  • Serve as a primary contact during tax authority audits and inquiries, preparing supporting documentation and coordinating responses with external specialists.
  • Lead tax provisioning and reporting activities under IFRS, including effective tax rate calculations and financial statement disclosures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency through automation and technology.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, and Business Operations teams to provide tax guidance and ensure alignment across business functions.
  • Monitor changes in international tax legislation, assess potential business impacts, and recommend appropriate actions to maintain compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of a scalable global tax framework that supports ongoing international expansion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Technology, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) and professional tax qualification (CTA, ADIT, or equivalent).
  • 3-5+ years of tax experience gained within a Big Four, Top 10 accounting firm, or a multinational corporate tax environment.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate taxation, VAT, transfer pricing, IFRS tax reporting, and international tax compliance.
  • Experience managing multiple jurisdictions and working with external tax advisors.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters to non-specialist stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and collaborative, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Interest in leveraging technology and automation to modernize tax operations.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to twice per year for company events.
