Level: Senior Manager
Shape the Future of Financial Services
Tax is no longer a back-office function. In an increasingly digital, regulated and AI-enabled world, tax sits at the centre of commercial decision-making.
Our Financial Services Tax practice advises some of the world's most innovative and influential organisations, from venture-backed fintechs and crypto businesses disrupting traditional markets, to global banks, asset managers, payment platforms, sovereign investors and multinational financial institutions.
As a Senior Manager, you will have a genuine seat at the table with clients, working alongside founders, CFOs, Heads of Tax, General Counsel and investors on their most complex strategic challenges. You will combine deep technical expertise with commercial judgement to help clients navigate growth, transformation, transactions and regulatory change.
This is not a narrow compliance role. It is an opportunity to become a trusted adviser on the issues shaping the future of financial services.
The Opportunity
We are looking for ambitious, commercially minded tax professionals who want to work across the full spectrum of advisory, transactions and compliance.
- You will lead multidisciplinary teams delivering solutions on high-profile and often market-leading engagements, while building long-term relationships with clients operating at the cutting edge of financial services innovation.
- Alongside traditional banking and asset management clients, you will advise fast-growth businesses across fintech, payments, digital assets, crypto, blockchain infrastructure, lending platforms, wealth technology and embedded finance.
- You will help clients solve problems where tax, technology, regulation, finance and business strategy intersect.
What You'll Do
Strategic Advisory
- Act as a trusted adviser to boards, executive leadership teams and investors.
- Advise on complex UK and international tax issues affecting financial services businesses.
- Support clients through periods of significant business transformation and growth.
- Provide commercially focused solutions balancing technical, operational and strategic considerations.
- Advise on emerging tax policy developments impacting the financial services and digital assets sectors.
- Lead conversations with senior stakeholders on risk management, governance and tax strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
