In-House Senior Manager/Director
£1250-160,000 + Bonus + Package
London - Hybrid
This is a broad, commercially focused role supporting the firm's investment platform across Europe, North America and Asia. The successful individual will work closely with Investment, Legal, Finance, Fund Operations and Investor Relations teams, providing tax advice on fund structuring, new product launches, investments and strategic business initiatives.
The position offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and investment decision-makers, making it an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to move into, or further develop within, the alternative asset management industry.
While prior in-house experience would be advantageous, the firm is also keen to consider individuals from leading professional services firms who have a strong track record advising private credit, alternative investment or asset management clients.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Structuring & Product Development
- Provide tax support on the establishment and ongoing management of private credit funds and related investment vehicles.
- Advise on the tax considerations associated with new fund launches, investor onboarding and cross-border fundraising initiatives.
- Partner with Legal and external counsel on fund documentation, constitutional documents and tax disclosures.
- Support the development of new investment products and structures across multiple jurisdictions.
- Review the tax implications of changes to fund strategy, investor composition and regulatory developments.
- Assist with evaluating and implementing tax-efficient structures that align with commercial and operational objectives.

Investment & Transaction Support
- Advise investment teams on the tax aspects of debt investments, structured credit transactions and bespoke financing arrangements.
- Support transaction execution through the review of acquisition, financing and restructuring documentation.
- Assess tax risks and opportunities arising from investments across a variety of geographies and asset classes.
- Coordinate external tax advisors on complex transactions and jurisdiction-specific issues.
- Provide practical recommendations to ensure transactions are implemented efficiently while maintaining appropriate risk controls.
Investor & Business Advisory
- Act as a key tax contact for Investor Relations, responding to investor tax queries and supporting fundraising efforts.
- Review investor-facing tax materials and assist with investor reporting requirements.
- Support discussions with institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance companies and other sophisticated investor groups where tax input is required.
- Monitor market developments and emerging tax trends impacting alternative investment structures.

Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships across Investment, Legal, Finance, Compliance and Operations teams.
- Translate complex technical tax issues into clear commercial advice for senior stakeholders.
- Support the Head of Tax and wider leadership team on strategic initiatives, acquisitions and business expansion projects.
- Manage relationships with external advisors globally and oversee the delivery of specialist projects.
Candidate Profile
Essential
- ACA, CTA, CA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- Significant post-qualified tax experience gained within financial services or asset management.
- Strong knowledge of investment fund taxation and international tax principles.
- Experience advising on fund structuring, cross-border investments and transaction-related tax matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Preferred
- Previous experience within a private credit fund, direct lending platform, alternative asset manager or broader private markets environment.
- Understanding of debt products, financing structures and alternative investments.
- Experience working with institutional and international investor bases.
