Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Expert with strong practical experience in tax accounting, tax filing, tax return preparation, and business finance to join our team in London. As a Tax Expert, you will bridge the gap between technical engineering teams and complex tax legislation requirements. You will leverage your deep tax knowledge, audit mindset, and understanding of tax data analysis to guide AI data annotation, build financial data taxonomies, and validate technical outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design comprehensive annotation guidelines and advise technical engineering teams on financial data taxonomies and business finance concepts.
  • Provide deep domain expertise in financial accounting, tax accounting, and tax-related software tools.
  • Apply an audit-oriented mindset to identify edge cases, data anomalies, potential bias, and hallucinations in AI training data.
  • Translate intricate tax legislation requirements into actionable specifications for software development life cycle processes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional technical teams to define taxonomies, establish annotation guidelines, run system testing, and validate AI outputs.
  • Utilize debit and credit concepts, tax data analysis, and basic SQL skills to assess financial datasets and verify data accuracy.
  • Manage project deliverables independently and contribute to tax software design, implementation, and testing activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
