Mondrian Alpha Tax Specialist Opportunity
Mondrian Alpha are working with a leading global hedge fund to hire a tax specialist into their lean tax team.
About the Role
This is a newly created role, reporting directly to the Tax Director, with responsibility for UK and European tax matters. The position covers indirect tax and VAT/GST, corporate tax, and transfer pricing across Europe.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership and oversight across tax compliance for the firm's UK and European entities
- Review work prepared by external administration
- Manage VAT registrations
- Deal with cross-border VAT matters
- Support transfer pricing matters
- Support the continued growth of the business as it continues to scale, including launching new products
- Help assess the tax implications of entering new jurisdictions

Requirements
- Coming from a professional services accounting firm (Big Four)
- 1 to 3 years' post-qualification experience (CTA/ACA)
- Strong academics and exposure to financial services clients
- Direct and Indirect tax knowledge is essential
- Strong tax compliance experience
