Our North Tax Technology team works with a range of clients, from entrepreneurial start-ups to recognised high street names and global corporations. We offer services including helping businesses draw up their tax technology strategy, tax configuration elements of an ERP implementation, automation of tax processes, to data analytics, and more. So, there’s plenty of variety from one day to the next. Whether building great relationships with clients or colleagues, you’ll be supported by a team that brings out the best in you.

BDO supports all kinds of different businesses in different sectors across the UK and around the world. You’ll be providing Tax Technology services to start-ups and scale-ups, to private businesses and FTSE listed multinationals. Each of our clients has different needs and in applying your expertise in different contexts, you’ll develop your skills and gain valuable experience that will serve you throughout your career.

The primary responsibility will be to deal with all matters relating to the sale, management and hands on delivery of tax technology projects to a portfolio of clients. You will work with Partners, Directors, and Managers in relation to client work within the North Tax Technology Team.
Project involvement:
- Develop and implement Tax Technology products and deliver Tax Technology advisory services to a wide range of clients.
- Assist in the management of a portfolio of clients including control of client take on and engagement, billings, and identification of opportunities to improve recoveries, together with cash collection.
- Develops professional relationships with clients and within the Firm and adapts the approach for the relevant audience.
- Understands potential risks to the Firm in relation to the Firm’s quality control procedures and raising to the appropriate person.
- An in depth, up to date, knowledge of a variety of technologies and programming languages and technology tools, in particular, one or more of: automation platforms such as Alteryx, Knime, Power Query, Power Automate; data analytics platforms such as Power BI; automation programming languages such as Python; database languages such as SQL; or equivalents.
- Ability to manage a client portfolio profitably by managing their own time effectively and efficiently.
- Educated to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent
