Role Purpose
The role will support the Treasury Tax team in delivering specialist technical advice and responding to internal and external queries. Initially, the successful candidate will focus on technical delivery, research, and preparation work, with outputs reviewed by senior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and responding to queries received through the Treasury Tax mailbox.
- Preparing first-draft technical responses for review and approval by senior colleagues.
- Supporting technical research and advisory projects.
- Assisting with marketing initiatives, thought leadership and training activities.
- Supporting wider Treasury Tax technical initiatives.
- Gradually taking on ownership of projects as experience develops.
- Working closely with senior team members on client and internal deliverables.

Essential:
- Strong UK tax technical background.
- Interest in specialising in Treasury Tax.

About the Team
KPMG's Treasury Tax team supports a wide range of clients, from privately owned and PE-backed businesses to large multinational groups. The team provides specialist advice on the tax implications of financing, debt, treasury activities and financial instruments, working closely with corporate tax teams across the firm.
This is a growing and highly technical area of tax, offering exposure to complex advisory work and a diverse client base.
The Role
We are looking for a Treasury Tax Advisory Manager to provide high-quality advice on treasury-related tax issues and support the continued growth of the team.
The role would suit:
- An existing Manager looking to further specialise and develop their career.
- An ambitious Assistant Manager looking for promotion.
- Someone with strong corporate tax and accounting knowledge who enjoys solving complex technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on treasury tax matters, including:
- Financing and debt structures
- Loan relationships and derivative contracts
- Corporate Interest Restriction (CIR)
- Withholding tax
- Anti-hybrid rules
- Debt refinancing and restructuring
- M&A and transaction-related projects
- Support tax audits, enquiries and complex compliance work.
- Carry out technical research and collaborate with UK and international specialists.
