We make health happen
At Bupa, we're here to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives and make a better world. As a healthcare provider with no shareholders, we reinvest our profits back into our business, our customers, and our people.
We're looking for a TCO & FinOps Analyst to join our Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the development of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and FinOps capabilities, helping the business better understand functional costs, cloud spend, and key cost drivers across the organisation.
About the Role
As a TCO & FinOps Analyst, you'll provide valuable insight that supports informed decision-making, cost transparency, and financial accountability. You'll work closely with colleagues across Finance, Technology, and other Functions, Cloud Engineering, and Vendor Management, helping identify opportunities to optimise investment while ensuring stakeholders have access to clear and meaningful cost information.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to build expertise in FinOps, cloud cost management, and business partnering within a collaborative and purpose-led environment.
How You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen
- Support the production of reporting and analysis across technology contracts, licenses, cloud services, and service allocations across all functions.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on cloud consumption and spend, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for further investigation.
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and analysis that communicate technology costs, cloud spend, and optimisation opportunities.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities relating to cloud services, technology contracts, and service fee allocations.
- Support cost allocation methodologies and help ensure the quality and consistency of reporting data.
- Work collaboratively with Finance, Technology, and Cloud teams to improve cost visibility and transparency.
- Support FinOps initiatives by helping identify opportunities to optimise cloud spend and improve usage efficiency.
- Assist with the administration and development of cloud cost management tools and reporting solutions.
- Help document processes and ensure activities align with governance requirements.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and the wider business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
