Care Professional (Tea Time & Evening Calls) – Home Instead UK

About Home Instead

Home Instead is the world’s leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people, delivering personalised, compassionate support in clients' own homes.

The Role

We are recruiting caring and professional individuals for evening (16:00–22:00) and weekend visits to provide high-quality home care. Calls last a minimum of 30 minutes, with flexible and regular schedules.

As a Home Instead Care Professional, you’ll provide tailored support to ensure clients maintain independence, safety, and well-being. Each visit is unique, adapting to the individual needs of your matched client base.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties may include:

  • Personal care assistance (e.g., helping with dressing, bathing)
  • Medication reminders & management
  • Meal preparation (or assistance with home-cooked meals)
  • Light housekeeping (cleaning, tidying)
  • Errands & accompaniment (e.g., supermarket visits, doctor’s appointments)
  • Morning routines (supporting clients with getting ready)
  • Companionship & conversation to combat loneliness
  • Safety checks to monitor well-being in the home

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
