Job Summary

Silvercrest Education is expanding our national network of Qualified Teachers (QTS) to support the continued growth of our online alternative education provision from September 2026.

We are recruiting experienced, compassionate and adaptable teachers across the UK to join our Online Teacher Practitioner Pool, delivering personalised education to children and young people who may be unable to access education successfully within a traditional school environment.

Silvercrest works with Local Authorities, families and other commissioners to provide alternative education for learners with a wide range of circumstances and needs, which may include SEND, SEMH, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), EOTAS, disrupted education, medical needs, exclusion and learners awaiting an appropriate school placement.

Online placements may range from a small number of weekly teaching hours to more substantial packages and may include 1:1 tuition, small-group teaching and personalised programmes delivered as part of a wider education package.

We are particularly interested in building a diverse national pool of Primary, Secondary and SEND teachers, as well as subject specialists.

Successful applicants will complete Silvercrest Education's safer recruitment and onboarding process and join our approved practitioner pool. Hours will then be offered as suitable commissioned placements become available and will be matched according to qualifications, experience, subject specialism, availability and individual learner need.

The Role

As a Silvercrest Online Teacher, you may:

  • Deliver high-quality 1:1 and small-group online teaching to children and young people.
  • Plan and deliver personalised learning from each learner's assessed starting point.
  • Adapt curriculum content for learners with SEND, SEMH and barriers to accessing education.
  • Deliver engaging live online lessons using appropriate digital resources and teaching strategies.
  • Establish positive, consistent relationships with learners who may have experienced significant disruption to their education.
  • Complete baseline assessments and identify appropriate learning priorities.
  • Contribute to Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and personalised educational targets.
  • Deliver provision aligned with EHCP outcomes and Local Authority commissioning requirements where applicable.
  • Monitor attendance, engagement and academic progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of teaching, assessment and learner outcomes.
  • Provide progress information and contribute to commissioner reviews where required.
  • Work collaboratively with Silvercrest leadership, parents/carers, Local Authority professionals and other practitioners.
  • Support reintegration, transition or progression into a learner's next educational placement.
  • Follow Silvercrest Education's safeguarding, attendance, online-safety and quality-assurance procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
