KS1 Teacher (Year 2) – ECTs Welcome

Role Overview
Milk Education is delighted to be working with a warm and welcoming two-form entry primary school in the L32 area of Liverpool, who are seeking a KS1 Teacher for a Year 2 class on a full-time basis.
This role is ECT-friendly and well-suited to teachers who are either in the early stages of their career or looking to build confidence within a supportive school environment. You will be part of a collaborative KS1 team with strong leadership support, clear routines, and experienced colleagues who are happy to guide and mentor.
You will have the opportunity to develop your classroom practice while providing engaging, structured, and nurturing learning experiences for pupils.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
- Build positive routines and strong relationships within a Year 2 classroom
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN
- Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and emotional wellbeing
- Use assessment to monitor pupil progress and inform future planning
- Support pupils with phonics, early reading, writing, and numeracy
- Work closely with colleagues, the SENCO, and senior leadership
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs are very welcome to apply
- A developing or secure understanding of KS1, particularly Year 2
- Willingness to learn, reflect, and respond positively to feedback
- A nurturing, positive, and child-centred approach
- Confidence to work collaboratively and seek support when needed
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
