Location: University Centre Rotherham, Rotherham

Salary: Hourly rate of up to £20.59 per hour plus holiday pay (depending on experience).

Vacancy Type: A variety of part-time roles available. Flexible Hours up to 30 hours per week. September 2026 - July 2027

Are you passionate about developing the next generation of teachers, trainers, assessors, and SEND professionals?

We are looking for enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and experienced lecturers to join our Teacher Education, SEND, and Education and Professional Development team. Whether your expertise lies in Initial Teacher Education, Further Education, SEND, assessment and quality assurance, or Higher Education, we'd love to hear from you.

Our core delivery focuses on supporting trainee teachers, assessors, and education professionals through a range of vocational, professional, and higher education programmes.

We are particularly interested in applicants who can contribute to one or more of the following:

  • PGCE and Certificate in Education programmes
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)
  • TAQA Assessor and Internal Quality Assurance qualifications
  • Level 4 Certificate in Supporting the Learning of Learners with SEND
  • Initial Teacher Education observations, mentoring, and developmental feedback

Inspire Future Professionals:

We are looking for experienced educators who are adaptable, collaborative, and excited by the opportunity to work flexibly during term time. Teaching takes place during the day, evenings, and occasional weekends, with teaching schedules agreed in advance wherever possible.

You will:

  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive, and evidence-informed teaching across one or more Teacher Education, SEND, or Education and Professional Development programmes.
  • Support trainee teachers, assessors, and education professionals to develop their professional practice.
  • Undertake Initial Teacher Education observations and provide developmental coaching and feedback.
  • Assess learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, standardisation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide an outstanding learning experience for adult learners and education professionals.

You should have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching, learning, and assessment and possess a strong understanding of the Further Education and Skills sector.

Educated to at least degree level (or equivalent professional qualification), and preferably Master's level for Higher Education delivery, you should hold a recognised teaching qualification together with English and mathematics at Level 2.

Experience in one or more of the following would be particularly advantageous:

  • Initial Teacher Education or teacher development
  • Lesson observations, mentoring, or instructional coaching
  • Delivery of the Level 3 Award in Education and Training or TAQA qualifications
  • Teaching learners with SEND and/or EHCPs
  • Higher Education
