About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Art History to join our thriving Art Department on a fixed-term maternity cover contract commencing in December 2026 or January 2027. The role is available on a full-time basis, although part-time applications will also be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire pupils to engage critically with art, culture and visual ideas.
  • Help pupils develop confident analysis, informed interpretation and independent intellectual enquiry.
  • Teach highly motivated pupils.
  • Contribute to a rich programme of academic enrichment.
  • Work alongside colleagues who are passionate about their subjects and committed to excellent teaching.

About Our School

You will join a successful and ambitious department where History of Art plays an important role within the Sixth Form curriculum. You will join a talented and supportive teaching community committed to academic excellence, professional collaboration and outstanding pastoral care. As a member of our teaching staff, you will play a full part in the life of the College through teaching, tutoring, co-curricular activities and participation in our vibrant boarding community.

About You

We welcome applications from reflective and passionate educators with strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to helping young people flourish. Experience of teaching A Level and/or IB History of Art would be advantageous.
