About the Role

Royal High School Bath is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and inspiring Teacher of Biology to join our thriving Science Department and help further develop a culture of scientific curiosity, academic excellence, and innovation across the school.

Science is a key part of life at Royal High School Bath, and we are looking for an exceptional individual who can inspire and engage pupils across the age range, teaching Biology from Year 7 to Year 13 and Chemistry at Key Stage 3.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and passionate teacher to make a significant contribution to STEM education within a leading independent girls’ school. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting pupils to achieve their full academic potential whilst fostering a lifelong love of science and discovery.

  • Deliver engaging lessons in Biology and Chemistry.
  • Monitor and support pupil progress.
  • Contribute to curriculum development.
  • Participate in the school's extensive co-curricular programme.
  • Work closely with colleagues within the Science Department to support pupils in reaching their academic potential.
  • Develop pupils' confidence, critical thinking, and practical scientific skills.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities, educational visits, admissions events, and pastoral responsibilities.
  • Opportunity to undertake the role of Form Tutor.

Requirements

  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology and Chemistry.
  • Excellent teaching and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire young people.
  • Experience teaching Biology at GCSE and A Level, alongside Chemistry at Key Stage 3.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding outcomes and contributing positively to a vibrant school community.
