About This Role

Thanks to our continued growth, we're looking for a Teacher of English to join our friendly, supportive and innovative English team in September 2026.
If you love English and want to share that passion with young people, we'd love to hear from you. About Ormiston Endeavour Academy
Ormiston Endeavour Academy is an 11-16 secondary Academy situated in north-east Ipswich. As an Academy which has seen significant growth over the last two academic years, we take pride in the high levels of support, care and challenge we offer all of our students. Endeavour students are warm, welcoming and willing to push themselves to succeed. Our staff are committed to providing a caring yet challenging environment in which young people can learn, develop and achieve to their full potential.
Our curriculum is broad, rich and flexible, designed to support every student. In addition, we offer our students a broad enrichment programme which all staff are encouraged to participate in.

About You
Ormiston Endeavour students are hard-working, polite and eager to learn and we're looking for someone who is passionate about English, an excellent communicator, and able to motivate and inspire young people. You'll hold high expectations of learning, achievement and behaviour, help drive whole-school improvement and make a positive contribution to our ethos and values.

Day to day, you'll:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons, adapting your teaching to suit a wide range of learning styles and abilities.
- Use a variety of resources and technology to bring the subject to life, assess and monitor students' progress, and give the constructive feedback that helps them grow as readers and writers.
- Have the chance to organise and take part in English-related extracurricular activities.
- Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and ensure a cohesive experience for every student.
