The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be resourceful, inspirational and forward thinking. You will share our vision of achieving excellence and raising further the standards of teaching and learning. There is the potential of Full time hours if candidates are offering an additional subject.
We wish to appoint a colleague to this post who has:
- A strong background in English, ideally including experience of teaching to GCSE.
- A passion for teaching, and a track record as a highly effective classroom practitioner
- The ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues to achieve their best
- Highly effective interpersonal, communication, management and leadership skills
- A commitment to professional development
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Location
Highfields is situated in Matlock, the county town of Derbyshire, on the south eastern edge of the beautiful Peak District National Park. It is within easy reach of Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham.

Additional Information
The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
