This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about English to join a successful and continually improving department with a talented team of specialists, and there is the potential for a TLR for the right candidate. The TLR will carry the whole-school responsibility to promote reading for pleasure for all students.
We are looking for an outstanding qualified teacher of Key Stage 3 and 4 English who has high expectations, strong classroom management skills and good subject knowledge. At OSCA, we strive to support staff to continually develop their skills to ensure enjoyment and rigour in the classroom. The English department prides itself on teamwork, passion and drive, and applications are welcome from candidates with a similar philosophy.

About The Academy
Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy is in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, and in very close proximity to the centre of Birmingham. It is a slightly larger than average, 11–16 co-educational academy with approximately 1,150 students. It has grown over the last few years and is now full and oversubscribed in every year group for the seventh consecutive year. The academy’s reputation locally is excellent.
