French and Spanish Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable linguist with the ability to teach French up to A Level and Spanish to GCSE, fostering high standards of achievement and a passion for language learning in all students. This exciting post offers the chance to teach French and Spanish to girls aged from 11 to 18 within a uniquely beautiful and supportive environment.

The successful applicant will need to have the ability to teach and inspire girls of a range of abilities throughout the school. The successful candidate will be an experienced and highly effective classroom practitioner, capable of joining an established department mid-academic year and quickly building positive relationships with students, providing expert subject knowledge, strong examination preparation, and targeted intervention to ensure students are fully equipped for success in public examinations.

At Benenden, girls in IV study Latin, alongside either French or Spanish. In LV they have a choice of two languages from French, Spanish, Latin and Mandarin, French being one of the most popular languages. The students must then study at least one language up to GCSE.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
