About the Role
Wellington School is seeking to appoint an outstanding and highly motivated Teacher of Geography to join our successful and ambitious team. We welcome applications from talented educators with experience of teaching Geography across the secondary age range and a commitment to achieving the highest standards of learning and attainment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a knowledgeable and inspiring practitioner who can deliver engaging, challenging, and intellectually stimulating lessons. They will possess the expertise, confidence, and enthusiasm to teach Geography at all levels, whilst fostering pupils' curiosity about the world and encouraging them to think critically about the environmental, social, and economic issues that shape it.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, energy, and innovation in the classroom, inspiring pupils to fulfil their academic potential. Strong digital literacy is essential, with confidence in the effective use of technology, interactive resources, and digital learning tools to enhance pupil engagement and achievement.

Position Details
- Salary: in accordance with SNCT scales
- Type: Full-time
- Commencement: November 2026
Requirements
Applicants must either be registered with GTC Scotland, or eligible for registration. All teaching appointments are subject to membership of the Disclosure Scotland Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
