Brighton College Job Opening
Brighton College is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Geography on a fixed-term contract, starting January 2027, or earlier if possible, and ending in December 2027. We would also consider applications from candidates looking for part-time opportunities.
The Department
The Geography Department is a thriving and highly successful department at the College, comprising of eight teachers and educating around 550 pupils from Year 9 to Upper Sixth. The subject is one of the College’s strongest academic departments, with consistently excellent outcomes at both GCSE and A-level. Pupils follow the Edexcel A GCSE and AQA A-level specifications.

Role Specification
The successful Teacher of Geography will be, or demonstrate the clear potential to become, an outstanding classroom practitioner, capable of inspiring pupils across the age and ability range. They will combine strong subject knowledge with intellectual energy, warmth and enthusiasm to foster in pupils a genuine curiosity about the world.
