Lead Humanities Teacher

Rossendale School are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Humanities Teacher to join our team, specialising in supporting pupils with Autism and other associated needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in leading the provision of exceptional service to support the wellbeing, development and success of young people - enabling high-quality learning outcomes; encouraging colleague engagement and collaboration to foster a positive and supportive environment; and ensuring effective day-to-day leadership within areas of responsibility - championing the school's values, ethos, policies and procedures.

About The School

Rossendale is a day school catering for the needs of pupils who are autistic and academically able. All pupils have a draft or final Education, Health and Care Plan. The School provides education for young people aged from 7 18 years of age. Key stages 3 and 4 are based on the main school site, whilst Key stage 2 and 5 are based at our Campus which is based in the local community. At Key stage 4 and 5 we offer a wide range of GCSE subjects, BTEC Awards, Functional Skills, ASDAN and Entry Level qualifications and A level courses at the sixth form provision. Given the disrupted nature of our pupils’ education, prior to their admission to Rossendale, we have had some outstanding examination results. The school admits both boys and girls.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
