Leigh Stationers' Academy is seeking to appoint a dedicated and forward-thinking Teacher of Maths to join our high-performing department. This position is open to practitioners at all stages of their career, from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to experienced professionals. We are specifically looking for an individual who possesses the pedagogical skill to motivate students and the interpersonal ability to build strong, purposeful rapport.
About the Role
We pride ourselves on a curriculum that is both innovative and research-informed:
- Key Stage 3: Our students benefit from a Maths Mastery approach integrated with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), ensuring a broad and deep conceptual foundation.
- Post-16: Mathematics remains a premier choice within our Sixth Form, with significant student uptake at both AS and A-Level.
- Pedagogical Research: Our teaching framework is underpinned by evidence-based practices, including variation theory, concept development, and cognitive task design.

As an IB World School, our curriculum is rooted in the International Baccalaureate philosophy. We offer the IB Middle Years Programme for students in Years 7-9, designed to help them become curious, well-rounded, and resilient learners. We also have a strong focus on extracurricular activities. We're one of the largest providers of the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award in the South and one of only six state schools with a Marine Combined Cadet Force (CCF).
