About The Role

Randstad Education is seeking a passionate Teacher of Maths for a permanent role starting January 2027 at an established school in Brent. You will teach structured, engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 GCSE classes. The department offers modern interactive technology, tailored resources, and exceptional support for both ECTs and experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach dynamic, structured Mathematics lessons that cover algebra, geometry, statistics, and number skills.
  • Embed problem-solving methodologies and functional mathematics into day-to-day teaching.
  • Use formative and summative assessment data to track pupil progress and adapt lesson delivery accordingly.
  • Foster a positive learning atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and overcoming mistakes.
  • Support departmental extra-curricular initiatives, such as UKMT Maths Challenge preparations or lunchtime numeracy clinics.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously elevate departmental standards and curriculum frameworks.

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Strong subject mastery across the secondary Mathematics curriculum.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to inspire trust and confidence in students.
  • High expectations for effort, accuracy, and student attendance.
