Hamilton College Music Teacher Position
Hamilton College is a thriving independent school with a strong commitment to academic excellence, creativity, and the holistic development of every pupil. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Music on a full-time supply basis initially for a period of six weeks, commencing immediately following the October break.
About the Role
The successful candidate will join a supportive and forward-thinking department and will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Music lessons across our school. They will support and actively promote the Christian ethos of Hamilton College, embedding our values into everyday classroom practice and relationships.

- Engage and inspire Nursery, Junior, and Senior pupils.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner who can:
- Is passionate about Music and inspiring young people.
- Is an effective and engaging classroom practitioner.
- Has high expectations of pupil achievement and behavior.
- Is flexible, adaptable, and able to integrate quickly into an established team.
- Will contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

- This is initially a six-week supply position from Monday 19 October 2026, although there may be the possibility for the appointment to be extended.
- The successful applicant must be registered with GTCS and either an existing member of the PVG Scheme or be prepared to join this scheme and prove their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment.
- An offer of employment will be subject to two satisfactory references and a clean report from Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme.
