OFSTED RATED OUTSTANDING
At Chesterton Community College, teachers across our remarkable science department not only set out to teach students about our subjects: we aim to bring the sciences to life.
Our vision is to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to understand and explain the world around them. We do this via an expansive curriculum which spans the unimaginably small to the incomprehensibly large, with a focus on practical work to allow students to really experience science for themselves.
We require an enthusiastic, inventive, and highly motivated teacher to join our dynamic team who achieve consistently outstanding results. Our department consistently ensure students achieve exceptional results, with over 76% of GCSE grades in 2026 sitting above a 7 and close to a third scoring the top grade 9.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
