About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a full-time, permanent Specialist Teacher from January 2027. Based at Tapton School, the Vision and Physical Support Service provides specialist support for children and young people aged 0–25 with low-incidence SEND across the city. The role involves managing a citywide caseload of children and young people with physical disabilities and/or vision impairment. They will also be required to undertake the mandatory qualification and training needed to develop the specialist knowledge and skills required to teach children and young people with vision impairment.

We are looking for an excellent and inclusive practitioner who has experience across different age phases and works effectively with families, educational settings and multi-agency professionals. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the barriers faced by children and young people with physical disabilities and/or vision impairment, and of the approaches needed to promote their inclusion in mainstream and specialist settings. The role includes providing specialist advice and support to educational settings, alongside direct one-to-one teaching for children and young people.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
