About The Role
As a Teacher at Park House School, you will deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse and individual needs of our learners. You will play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, develop essential skills, and re-engage with education.
This role involves working with pupils who may not thrive in mainstream settings and require a flexible, creative, and therapeutic approach to learning. You will be responsible for planning and delivering personalised lessons, tracking progress, and supporting each pupil’s unique journey.
About Park House School
Park House School is a small, specialist provision, registered for 26 pupils aged 8–19. We provide a therapeutic-based learning environment for young people with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Our approach focuses on creating a safe, nurturing, and structured setting where every pupil feels valued, understood, and supported to achieve their potential.

At Park House School, we are committed to trauma-informed and therapeutic practice, ensuring that every young person feels safe, respected, and able to learn. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with access to ongoing professional development and support.

Working With Us
In This Role, You Will
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths and Science lessons
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours per week
- Term time only (aligned with local authority academic dates)

£31,689 – £37,932 per annum

What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Maths and/or Science
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- A flexible, child-centred approach to teaching
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Right to work in the UK

Experience in specialist or alternative provision is desirable, but we also welcome applicants with transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs.
