Are you passionate about making a difference for pupils with specialist needs? Do you want to help shape a brand-new provision at a friendly, ambitious primary school? If so, we would love to hear from you!

Somerford Primary School (Christchurch, BH23) is excited to be opening a resourced provision for children with an Autistic profile and associated Social Communication needs. This is an opportunity to help implement and develop our inclusive vision to further support children within our community. The Role

  • Teach and lead a class of up to 8 pupils, supported by up to two teaching assistants per class
  • Deliver a creative, adaptive curriculum and therapeutic strategies to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing
  • Link with class teachers in the main school to help children attending the provision access their link mainstream class up to 50% of the time
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, designing individualized learning plans
  • Work closely with the SENCo, therapists, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every child
  • Mentor and line-manage TAs, supporting their ongoing development
  • Play a key part in shaping the new provision, including its routines, resources, and systems
  • Engage with parents and carers to build strong, supportive relationships

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. The amendments to the ROA 1974 (Exceptions Order 1975, (2013 and 2020)) provide that when applying for certain jobs and activities, certain spent convictions and cautions are ‘protected’, so they do not need to be disclosed to employers, and if they are disclosed, employers cannot take them into account. The MOJ’s guidance on the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the Exceptions Order 1975, provides information about which convictions must be declared during job applications and related exceptions and further information about filtering offences can be found in the DBS filtering guide.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

Our school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not be on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
