About the Role
Hunloke Park Primary School is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant who is caring, enthusiastic, and committed to join the Early Years team from 2nd November 2026.
About You…
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with young children and in an early years primary setting, along with SEN experience.
- An understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
We are looking for someone who is warm and patient, with a nurturing approach, who has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare, supports the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences across all EYFS areas of learning, supports children with personal care needs when required, maintains dignity and respect, contributes to creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children and families, communicates professionally with parents and carers when appropriate, follows school procedures, and provides targeted support for children with additional needs, following individual plans and guidance from the SENCO.

Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching and Learning Qualification, UK approved as full and relevant by the Department for Education (Check an early years qualification - GOV.UK).
- Suitable Level 2 Qualification in English or equivalent.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience supporting children with SEND.
- Paediatric First Aid training.
- Knowledge of behaviour-support strategies and early intervention approaches.
- Safer Eating and Safer Sleep training.
- DfE Early Years and child development training.

Your Role…
As a KS1 Teaching and Learning Assistant, you’ll:
- Support high-quality Early Years education by working alongside the Early Years team and wider school to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
- Focus on promoting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
