Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a background supporting children and young people with ASD and SLD?

Are you reliable, punctual, and confident walking into a specialist classroom and immediately becoming part of the team?

A specialist school in Feltham is looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to provide day-to-day and short-term cover across its specialist provisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEN professionals looking for full-day work, flexible assignments, and the opportunity to build a longer-term relationship with a specialist school.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across EYFS and primary-aged classes.

Your Responsibilities May Include

  • Supporting pupils with ASD and SLD
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support
  • Helping pupils access classroom learning
  • Supporting communication and interaction
  • Supporting emotional regulation
  • Managing challenging behavior appropriately
  • Following established behavior and support strategies
  • Supporting classroom routines and transitions
  • Working alongside teachers and other support staff
  • Helping pupils during break and lunch
  • Providing personal care when required
  • Supporting toileting, nappy changing, and feeding
  • Maintaining a calm and structured environment

ASD / SLD Experience Is Essential

This is a specialist environment, so applicants must have previous experience supporting pupils with ASD/SLD.

  • SEN Teaching Assistants

  • Learning Support Assistants
  • Autism Support Workers
  • SEN Support Workers
  • Residential Support Workers
  • Healthcare or care professionals

  • Other professionals with relevant experience supporting children with complex needs
