Location: Gamlingay area, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time, Term Time Only

Contract: Full-Time | Temporary until October Half Term

Are you a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity within a supportive primary school environment? We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Gamlingay area of Cambridgeshire.

The role will primarily involve supporting pupils across Key Stage 1, although flexibility may be required to work across different year groups depending on the needs of the school. The school has a strong focus on inclusion and supports a number of pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and other additional needs.

About The Position

The role will include:

  • Supporting teachers with classroom activities and day-to-day learning
  • Working predominantly with pupils across KS1
  • Providing general classroom and individual pupil support where required
  • Supporting children with additional needs, including pupils with ASC
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and participation
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills
  • Creating a safe, calm, and supportive learning environment
  • Adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of pupils
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school team

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Is caring, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting children
  • Has a genuine interest in working within a primary school environment
  • Has previous experience working with children or young people
  • Has experience or an interest in supporting children with SEND/ASC
  • Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Is calm, adaptable, and able to respond to changing needs
  • Works well as part of a wider teaching and support team
  • Holds an enhanced Adult & Child DBS on the update service
