Due to one of our Teaching Assistants retiring shortly Holly Primary School is looking to appoint a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role will be a mixture of working 1:1 with children with special educational needs both in the classroom, break times and lunchtimes. There will also be general classroom support.

  • Qualified as a teaching assistant
  • Enthusiastic and able to think on their feet to solve problems
  • Be IT literate to input information onto our school information system (after training on this system).
  • Able to keep the child’s provision running effectively
  • Be committed to inclusion of the children they work with
  • Able to communicate well with children, parents and staff
  • Able to maintain a positive outlook and cheerful personality
  • Able to adapt planned curriculum to meet needs

The successful candidate should also have a clear understanding of supporting children with special educational needs from their TA qualifications or experience in work.
