Teaching Assistant Level 2
Salary: Cambridgeshire Scale 3, point 5-6, £25,583 to £25,989
This post is advertised at the pre-NJC pay award salary rate. The successful candidate’s salary will be adjusted in line with the agreed 2026/27 pay award once implemented.
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time, 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term-time only). The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:15–15:15, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.
Expected Start Date: To be confirmed, subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.

Role Overview
Anglian Learning is pleased to share with you an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join the SEND team at Sawston Village College.
Working as part of our friendly and experienced SEND team, you will play an important role in providing targeted support for pupils who may have SEND or another identified vulnerability, helping them to access learning, make progress and achieve their potential. You will support pupils both within mainstream classrooms and through our Compass House inclusion provision, building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers and contributing positively to the wider life of the College.

The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have experience of working with young people in an educational or similar setting
- Be enthusiastic and committed to supporting pupils with SEND and other identified vulnerabilities
- Be able to build positive and effective relationships with young people
- Be adaptable, highly motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
