Job Title: Teaching Assistant : ASAP Start
Location: Maghull, Sefton (L31)
With the new term underway, secondary schools in Maghull are looking for reliable, confident Teaching Assistants to join their team immediately. We need hands-on staff who can step into subject classrooms, support teachers, keep pupils on task, and maintain a productive learning environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils aged 11-16 academically, socially, and emotionally across key subjects.
- Working 1:1 or with small targeted groups to keep students engaged and on task.
- Assisting teachers with marking standard worksheets and tracking daily student effort.
- Monitoring classroom dynamics to ensure a productive, safe, and respectful learning environment.
- Building positive, professional rapport with pupils to boost classroom confidence.

What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience supporting young people in schools, youth work, or tutoring settings.
- Strong, confident classroom presence and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and classroom environments throughout the day.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness immediately).
