Package Description
At All's Well School, we work with children and young people who have faced significant barriers to education and learning.
Through patience, trust, consistency and the right support, we help learners rebuild confidence, develop new skills and achieve outcomes they may never have thought possible. We're looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and play a vital role in supporting learners with social, emotional and mental health needs.
This is far more than a classroom support role. You'll help create opportunities, build meaningful relationships and support young people to make positive steps towards their future. If you're resilient, compassionate and passionate about helping young people succeed, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
Working alongside teachers and tutors, you'll support the delivery of engaging and personalised educational programmes that meet the individual needs of our learners. You'll provide encouragement, structure and consistency, helping young people engage with learning, develop confidence and achieve their personal goals, while creating a safe and supportive environment where they can thrive.

What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the delivery of learning programmes tailored to individual learner needs.
- Assisting with educational activities both in and outside the classroom.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with learners while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Promoting confidence, independence, self-esteem and emotional wellbeing.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting learners to overcome barriers to education.
- Working closely with teachers, families and external professionals to support learner progress.
- Supporting young people to prepare for their next steps, including transitions into further education, training or employment where appropriate.
- Promoting safeguarding and wellbeing, ensuring concerns are raised and acted upon in line with school policies.
- Contributing to reviews, meetings and learner progress discussions.
- Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive and motivating learning environment.

About You
We're looking for someone who shares our commitment to helping every young person reach their full potential. You'll be:
- Caring, patient and passionate about supporting children and young people.
- Experienced in supporting children and young people who may present with challenging behaviour, social, emotional or mental health needs.
- Resilient and confident in managing challenging situations with professionalism and consistency.
- Able to build positive relationships based on trust, consistency and respect.
- A strong team player with a flexible and proactive approach.
- Committed to safeguarding, inclusion and continuous professional development.
- Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE Grade 4/C or above, Functional Skills Level 2, or equivalent).

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, online searches and satisfactory pre-employment checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
As this role involves regulated activity with children, it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
