Supply Teaching Assistant : Okehampton and Surrounding Areas
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for local, flexible work that fits around your life? We are looking for adaptable TAs to support primary and secondary schools across Okehampton and the surrounding villages on a day-to-day supply basis. This is your chance to make a real difference in the classroom while maintaining complete control over your schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assist class teachers with general classroom management and learning tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Provide targeted support to pupils individually (1:1) or in small groups to boost their reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
- Create a positive and productive atmosphere by helping maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom setting.
- Adapt quickly to different school environments, diverse student needs, and various year groups across Okehampton and nearby rural areas.

Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a dedicated educational setting.
- Possession of a standard TA qualification or proven relevant experience in 1:1 or SEND support.
- A high level of flexibility, allowing you to step into different schools and assist various year groups at short notice.
- Access to your own transport is highly advantageous due to the nature of local village school locations.
- An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one promptly.

What We Offer
- Competitive Daily Rate: Earn between GBP92.56 : GBP95.00 per day, depending on your experience.
- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy consistent hours from 8:30 AM : 3:30 PM (term time only), with the autonomy to control which days you choose to work.
- Local Impact: Assignments focused within the Okehampton area, keeping your commute time to a minimum.
