We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school in Dawlish.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to play an important role in supporting their learning, development and wellbeing.

Working alongside our teachers and wider school team, you will help create a positive, inclusive and engaging environment where every child feels valued and supported.

The role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children in their learning through whole-class, small-group and individual activities.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of engaging lessons.
  • Provide additional support to pupils who may require help with their learning, communication or emotional wellbeing.
  • Encourage children's confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Help maintain a calm, safe and positive classroom environment.
  • Support pupils during break and lunchtime as required.
  • Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources.
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with children, colleagues and families.
  • Contribute fully to the wider life of our school.

Previous experience working in a primary school or with children is desirable, although we welcome applications from enthusiastic candidates with transferable experience.

Salary: 92.56 - 105 GBP Per day
