Male Teaching Assistant: Make a Difference in Twickenham Schools (SEND Support)

We are seeking a dedicated male Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Twickenham. This long-term role gives you the chance to support pupils across Key Stages 2, 3, 4, helping them build confidence, independence, and academic success. Due to the needs and safeguarding requirements of the pupils that you will be working with, the successful applicant must be a male.

As a Teaching Assistant, You Will

  • Support teachers and pupils in the classroom and during activities across Twickenham schools
  • Assist individual pupils or small groups to access the curriculum and achieve their goals
  • Help plan and prepare lessons, resources, and learning activities
  • Promote inclusion, positive behaviour, and social development
  • Observe pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Participate in school trips, extracurricular activities, and examination support
  • Occasional personal care support

Requirements

  • Experience working with children, especially with SEND or SEMH needs
  • Male applicants only
  • An empathetic and patient disposition
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Level 3 Diploma, or willingness to work towards)
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and ICT skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
