Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Hendon Prep, London, NW4 1TD

Salary: Up to £23,000 per annum (depending on qualifications)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent | Term Time only

Start: April 2027

About The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and students across the school, providing valuable support that enables every child to flourish. You'll help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to succeed.

You'll also lead and supervise our after-school provision, ensuring students enjoy engaging activities in a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable setting.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting students in lessons to access learning and make strong progress
  • Working alongside teachers to deliver tailored support and reinforce learning
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive attitudes towards education
  • Supporting students of different ages, abilities, and needs across the school
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
  • Leading and supervising after-school provision from 3:30pm to 6:00pm
  • Building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

What You Will Bring

  • Has GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
  • Has experience working with primary-aged children
  • Builds positive and trusting relationships with students and colleagues
  • Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrates patience, resilience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Is passionate about supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing
  • Shares our values of kindness, inclusion, and high expectations
