We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team at Lift Montgomery Primary. You'll play an important role in supporting pupils in the classroom, helping them to access learning, develop their independence, and feel confident and supported throughout the school day.
About The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and other colleagues to provide high-quality support for pupils across the school.
You'll support children's learning in the classroom, work with individuals and small groups, and help deliver targeted activities and interventions as required. You'll build positive relationships with pupils and help create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils with their learning within the classroom, individually and in small groups
- Work closely with teachers to support the delivery of engaging and inclusive learning
- Deliver targeted activities and interventions to help pupils make progress
- Support pupils in developing their confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
- Help create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Build strong and supportive relationships with pupils
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND colleagues and the wider school team
- Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils at all times

We Are Looking For Someone Who
You'll be positive, patient and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for supporting children and helping them succeed.
You'll be able to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues, communicate effectively and adapt your approach to meet the needs of different children.
Experience of working with children, particularly within a primary school or educational setting, would be beneficial. Most importantly, you'll share our commitment to ensuring that every child receives an excellent education and feels supported as they achieve their potential.

This is a full-time position, working 32.5 hours per week. The contract is fixed-term until 31 August 2027, with a start date as soon as possible.
