SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Brent, North West London
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday–Friday, full school day
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity in a fantastic primary school?
We are currently working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brent who are looking to appoint a high-quality SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong SEN experience who is passionate about making a real difference to children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
The Role
You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support both inside and outside the classroom.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and develop their independence.
You will be joining a supportive school environment where your experience and contribution will be genuinely valued.

We're Looking For
We are looking for a dedicated, experienced, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant who can build strong relationships with pupils and provide consistent, high-quality support.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong previous experience working with children with SEN within a primary school or similar setting
- Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and/or within small groups
- A good understanding of additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- The ability to adapt support according to individual needs and learning styles
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- The confidence to manage challenging situations positively and professionally
- A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their full potential
- The ability to work effectively alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals
