Alvechurch CE Middle School

Alvechurch Middle School are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a variety of children needing additional support. The successful applicant would be required to work with individual students, both in the classroom, during breaks and lunchtimes to assist with safety, behaviour and motivation, assisting the students with the development of social skills as well as the work in the classroom. General class support would involve working with several identified pupils under the direction of the class teacher.

The position will involve some specialised training, which will be provided by the school, and there will be an expectation of curriculum adaptation to enable the pupil to access lessons effectively in a mainstream setting. This will involve the person being proactive and independent in sourcing materials and resources and working effectively alongside the teaching staff.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
