From nurturing early learners in primary classrooms to guiding teenagers through their GCSEs in secondary schools, Chester's vibrant education community needs passionate Teaching Assistants like you.

Whether you prefer supporting young children as they build foundational reading and social skills or helping young adults build confidence and academic success, we have perfect local placements available right across the historic city of Chester.

What You'll Do

  • Assist teachers with phonics, play-based learning, creative activities, and small group interventions.
  • Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for students needing extra help.
  • Help build student confidence, resilience, and academic success.
  • Foster an inclusive, positive environment where every young person thrives.

What We're Looking For

  • Energy, empathy, and a strong passion for working with children or teenagers.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability.
  • Relevant experience (schools, nurseries, youth work, sports coaching, or care).
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to complete one).
