37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.00am - 4.00pm

About The Role
As a Teaching Assistant at Brick Lane School, you won’t just support learning — you’ll help shape lives. You’ll work closely with pupils who have a range of needs and strengths, supporting them through personalised learning journeys built on trust, encouragement, and consistency.
You’ll assist with preparing engaging lessons, delivering hands-on activities, and providing essential emotional and physical support. Whether supporting learning in the classroom or facilitating outdoor activities, no two days will be the same.
You’ll be part of a supportive, close-knit team that values your contribution and encourages your professional development as you grow in confidence and experience.
What You’ll Do
- Support pupils with varied and complex needs to access learning, build independence, and develop key life skills
- Assist with preparing and delivering engaging classroom, practical, and outdoor learning activities
- Provide consistent emotional, physical, and social support to promote wellbeing and positive engagement
- Work flexibly across different classes and learning environments as part of a collaborative, supportive team
- Implement agreed strategies and follow guidance from teachers and clinical professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils

In addition you will support autistic pupils to develop their communication, emotional regulation, independence, and relationships. This includes supporting pupils during playtimes, swimming sessions (including entering the pool where required), educational visits, and with personal/intimate care. You will be expected to work flexibly across classes, contribute positively as a team member, and consistently implement strategies that help pupils achieve their EHCP outcomes.
What You Will Bring
- Grade C or equivalent in Math's and English required
- A compassionate, adaptable approach to supporting pupils
- A willingness to embrace a dynamic, hands-on role within a school setting
