Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Oxford Millwood School, Elsfield, OX3 9UW
Salary: £16,700.15 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 32 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: November 2026

Role Purpose
We are looking for a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team and help create positive learning experiences for students.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact, supporting students both academically and personally while working alongside a skilled, multi-disciplinary team.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide high-quality support that enables students to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.
What You Will Be Doing
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual student needs.
- Promoting students' educational, social, emotional, and personal development.
- Assisting with classroom organisation, resources, displays, and learning activities.
- Contributing to student support plans, risk assessments, and progress monitoring.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and care teams to ensure a consistent approach to support and learning.

What You Will Bring
- Experience supporting students within an educational setting.
- Patient, resilient, and able to positively manage challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Empathetic, adaptable, and committed to helping every student achieve their full potential.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding, with basic IT skills and a student-centred approach.
- Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification desirable.
