Teaching Assistant – Exeter
Location: Exeter, Devon
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Contract: Permanent / Fixed-term / Temporary

About the Role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Exeter. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality learning and pastoral support to pupils. You will help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or someone looking to develop their career within education.

Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
- Assist pupils with their learning, confidence and personal development.
- Support children with additional learning needs, including SEND where required.
- Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment.
- Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, teachers and parents/carers.
- Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
- Promote pupils' wellbeing, independence and confidence.
- Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable. Experience supporting pupils with SEND would also be an advantage, although full training and support may be available.
