The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students with Autism, Severe learning difficulties and additional needs across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to help students develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The school is particularly interested in hearing from experienced Teaching Assistant professionals who are already working within schools and are looking for the right long-term move rather than simply another job.

We Would Love To Hear From Candidates Who Have

  • Previous SEN school experience
  • Strong understanding of Autism and complex needs
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience supporting students on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • A proactive and resilient approach
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge
  • Additional SEN training such as PECS, Makaton, Signalong or Team Teach (desirable)
