Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive impact in the classroom? Education World is currently recruiting for an experienced and engaging TA to work with a pupil with SEND needs in a primary school in the Sunderland area.
This is a great opportunity to build on your classroom experience, develop professionally, and be a valued part of a supportive school team.
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher with lesson delivery, work with small groups and individual pupils, and contribute to creating a calm and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning in the classroom across a range of subjects
- Provide targeted support to pupils who may need additional help
- Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom organisation
- Help manage pupil behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to meet individual pupil needs

- Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a classroom setting (voluntary or paid)
- A calm, patient, and flexible approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting children’s development
