Wage
- £16,640 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
- National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices
After the first 12 months, you will be paid the National Minimum Wage for your age if aged 19 or over.
Training
Course: Teaching assistant (level 3)
Hours: 5 days per week, 8am - 4:30pm. 40 hours a week
Start date: Sunday 1 November 2026
Duration: 1 year 6 months

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
As an Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprentice, your day revolves around providing nurturing care and fostering the development of young children. You'll:
- Plan and implement engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, catering to children's individual needs and interests.
- Facilitate play-based learning experiences to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development, encouraging curiosity and exploration.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a nurturing atmosphere for children's growth.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment conducive to learning and collaboration.
- Conduct observations and assessments to track children's progress, using this information to inform future planning and provide personalised support.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying updated on best practices in early years education.

What you'll learn
- Apply strategies to support and encourage the development of independent learners.
- Adapt communication strategies for the audience and context.
- Apply behaviour management strategies in line with organisational policy.
- Adapt resources to support all learners.
- Communicate with teachers to ensure clarity of the TA’s role.
- Apply teaching strategies to deliver learning activities or interventions.
- Build relationships with learners, teachers, other professionals and stakeholders.
- Comply with legislation, guidance, and procedures for Prevent, safeguarding and health & safety.
- Support the well-being and mental health of learners.
- Observe, record, and report on learners in line with organisational procedures.
- Apply methods of formative assessment.
- Use up-to-date technology safely, to support learning.
- Encourage safe use of technology by learners.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).
- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

Requirements
Essential qualifications:
- GCSE in: English (grade 4)
- GCSE in: Maths (grade 4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
